Bay Leaves

Bay leaf refers to the aromatic leaves of several plants used in cooking. Bay leaves have a sweet, balsamic scent and a bitter/spicy flavour profile.

Safety Info: Most recipes that use bay leaves will recommend their removal after the cooking process has finished, due to the inedible nature of the leaf, which may cause choking or intestinal perforation.
